Once lunch is completed we will drive to Ajlun Castle built in the 12th century by Usama bin Munqith, the nephew of Salahuddin. A fine example of Islamic architecture, it served as a military fort to protect the region from invading crusader forces. Reynald broke the truce, which prompted Saladin to attack and defeat the crusader armies and to take control of Jerusalem.

Not much further south we pass by the site of a significant battle fought during the Prophet Mohammad’s (peace be upon him) lifetime; the Battle of Mu’ta in 629 AD. Buried close by are the close companions who died in battle, Zaid bin Harithah , Ja’far bin Abi Talib and Abdullah bin Ruwahah.

  1. Tahnia

Had a lovely 6 days tour with Br Yusuf. We travelled as a family with 3 young kids, so flexibility was a priority for us. Alhamdulillah Br Yusuf was very patient with us all throughout. He explained the stories of the sahabas to the children in a manner that they understood, was happy to take as many breaks as we needed while sticking to the planned program. We were worried children won’t enjoy the historic tour, but they learned so much from it and loved it. He even kindly dropped us off to the border to go and visit Palestine and gave us contacts for tour guides in Palestine. I would highly recommend him.

  2. Hussein

First time to Jordan and was not disappointed.

  3. Sanak A.

Had a lovely 4 days with brother Yusuf.

He prepared a tour tailored to our exact requirements and accommodated to all of our new needs. We had a baby as well and that was absolutely no issue for him. He took us all over the country to the main tourist and religious landmarks and provided detailed information about each site. He also assisted us greatly with communicating with locals and removed any challenges in terms of the language barrier.

  4. Ashraf

Thanks Sr Adeeba for a great tour. We learnt a lot and had a great time seeing all the places we had only read about before. Would recommend to all my friends.
