After an early breakfast, we head out to the Great Wall of China. We visit the Mutiyanu section of the wall as it is the most presevered part as well as offering stunning views for photographs. Once done exploring the wall, you can either chair lift down, or for those adventurous enough, you take ride the taboggan (luge) all the way down!

Our private transport will be waiting for us when finished to take us back to our Beijing hotel stopping for Salaat at one of the ancient Mosques on the way.

We can enjoy a group dinner at a local Halal restaurant a, for those still not tired, we will stroll through Qianmen Street for some shopping at your leisure or just enjoy the walk and browse and enjoy the sites and sounds of this famous Beijing Street.

Day 3 – Beijing – Forbidden City / Tienanmen Square / Niujie Mosque

Meals included: Breakfast, Dinner

Another busy day in Beijing, my recommendation would be to spend more time in the Forbidden City as Tienanmen Square is just that, a large square.
But those wanting a photo opportunity we will stop at the square long enough as needed.

We then make our way to the Niujie Masjid, one of the oldest in Beijing, followed by some light lunch at any of the numerous Halal eateries surrounding the masjid. dont eat too much though, we have a huge group traditional Peking Duck dinner planned for the evening.

(Peking Duck, in case you’re wondering is a Muslim Invention introduced when Muslims settled in China and sought alternative meat options from the vast amounts of pork eaten by the local Chinese).

Day 4 – Beijing – Olympic Stadium / Summer Palace- Train to Xi’an

Meals included: Breakfast

We will visit the iconic Birds Nest Olympic Stadium for a brief tour followed by visit to the famous Summer Palace to enjoy the beautiful grounds and lake that have been maintained for centuries as part of the Royal Family gardens.

In the late afternoon, we take a Hish Speed Train to Xi’an, arriving in the evening, where we check in and relax for the night after dinner.

Day 5 – Xi’an – Terracotta Warriors / Drum Tower / Grand Mosque / Muslim St Food

Meals included: Breakfast, Lunch

We head off early after breakfast to see the world famous Terracotta Warriors. After the morning exploring and learning about this site, we enjoy a light lunch at a local Halal restaurant before making our way back to Xi’an.

We return to Xian city for a visit to the Drum tower, before stopping to pray at the Xi’an Grand Mosque (Note, we stay withing walking distance of the Grand Mosque so anytime we are at the hotel for free time, you are able to visit and perform your salaat here).

The day is capped off with a wonderful sensory overload of delicious smelling foods within the Muslim Street Food area. Fortunately the hotel is within walking distance as most of us will appreciate the short walk back to the hotel after sampling all that this amazing food area has to offer. 🙂

Day 6 – Xi’An – City Wall / Shuyuanmen Culture Street

Meals included: Breakfast, Lunch

After breakfast, we have a rest before our first stop at the the Xi’an City Wall, grabbing a light lunch on the way and stopping at local Mosque for Salaat. Once inside the City Wall you can choose to walk around the wall or hire a bike ($10) to ride around the wall.

Be sure to make regular stops for all the great photo opportunities around. We spend a couple of hours exploring and enjoying the sites of Xi’an from the wall before making our way down to the local cultural street market.

Here you free time and have option to do some shopping or just browse. There are a number of great Halal food places to choose from at your leisure.
After a few hours at the City Wall and Old Street area, the driver will return to the hotel. Those wishing to stay on for more shopping and eating are free to do so.
The hotel is a short 5 minute taxi ride away.

Day 7 – Xi’An – Museum / Shopping / Departure

Meals included: Breakfast, Lunch
